Collin College brought together elected officials and business, education, and community leaders for its fourth annual Collin Leadership Policy Summit on Oct. 21 at the college’s Frisco Campus Conference Center.

The future of North Texas’ economy took center stage as Bryan Daniel, president of New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Texas, delivered the keynote address and discussed the opportunities shaping one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions and its role in Texas’ continued growth.

“One of the reasons we’re really lucky here in Texas is that we have most sectors in the business community covered,” Daniel said. “We’re still on the front side of the growth curve, so I think flexibility in innovation is absolutely critical. The opportunity is here. I’m really proud of all of Texas, but particularly proud of North Texas because we don’t see this as a threat, we see it as an actual opportunity.”

The half-day event also featured six panel discussions exploring the region’s evolving needs, including infrastructure, workforce development, higher education, artificial intelligence, and economic growth.
