Collin College has been named a 2026-27 Military Friendly® School at the Silver rank, as well as a designated Military Spouse Friendly School.
“This year marks the 11th year Collin College has been recognized as a Military Friendly® school, an achievement we are incredibly proud to celebrate,” said Dr. Neil Matkin, Collin College district president. “Our commitment to student success includes ensuring veterans and military-connected students have the support and resources they need to reach their educational goals. We remain dedicated to helping them succeed both in the classroom and beyond.”
Institutions that earn Military Friendly® School designations are evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey that measures factors including student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer), and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
More than 3,200 organizations compete annually for the Military Friendly School® designation. Collin College was awarded the silver designation in the Large Community Colleges category.
“At Collin College, supporting veterans and military-connected students is part of who we are as an institution,” said Alan Pixley, director of Financial Aid and Veterans Services for Collin College. “We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to serving those who have served our country and encourage military members and their families to learn about the services we offer.”
The 2026-27 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the upcoming April issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
