Study Rooms
The campus libraries listed below offer study rooms on a first-come, first-served
basis with no advance reservations. Note: The Technical Campus Library does not have
study rooms.
Celina Campus, Brenda Willard Goodell Library
- Collin College students with a Collin College Student ID who are enrolled during the
current semester may check out study rooms.
- Four study rooms are available for checkout.
- Three rooms accommodate up to four students. One room can sit five.
- No food allowed, and drinks must be in closed containers.
Farmersville Campus Library
- Collin College students with a valid Collin College Student ID who are enrolled during
the current semester may check out the study room at the Circulation Desk.
- The study room checks out for two hours with renewals, subject to availability. Overdue
fees may apply.
- One study room is available for checkout.
- The room is available for individual students or groups of up to four students.
- No food allowed, and drinks must be in closed containers.
- If the room is left unattended for over 15 minutes, it is forfeited.
- The study room is not available to be checked out in between semesters when classes
are not being held.
Frisco Campus Library
- Collin College students with a Collin College Student ID enrolled during the current
semester may check out study rooms at the Checkout Desk.
- Study rooms check out for two hours. Overdue fees may apply.
- Nineteen study rooms are available for checkout.
- Twelve study rooms seat up to two students, three study rooms seat up to six students,
and four study rooms seat up to eight students.
- For two-person study rooms, the student checking out the room must be present at checkout.
- For group study rooms, a minimum of three students, including the student checking
out the room, must be present at checkout.
- All rooms include whiteboards. Markers and eraser provided at checkout.
- No food allowed, and drinks must be in closed containers.
McKinney Campus Library
- Collin College students with a Collin College Student ID who are enrolled during the
current semester may check out study rooms.
- Study rooms check out at the Checkout Desk.
- The checkout period is two hours. Overdue fees apply.
- Subject to availability, one renewal is permitted. There are no renewals during peak
usage.
- Rooms left unattended for over 15 minutes are forfeited.
- No food or drinks are allowed, except for bottled water.
- There are 13 study rooms with glass boards, markers and erasers. Rooms accommodate
from one to eight people.
Plano Campus Library
- Collin College students with a Collin College Student ID who are enrolled during the
current semester may check out study rooms.
- Rooms check out at the Checkout Desk on the first floor.
- The 29 study rooms are located on the second floor.
- The checkout period is two hours. Overdue fees apply.
- One renewal may be permitted if all rooms are not full. Limitations may be imposed
during peak usage.
- Twenty-seven study rooms can accommodate up to six students. A minimum of two students
must be present to check out these 27 rooms.
- Two rooms can accommodate up to eight students. A minimum of three students must be
present to check out these two rooms.
- A single student may check out a study room only when using Honorlock to complete
a test or assignment.
- All rooms include whiteboards.
- Whiteboard markers and erasers are available for checkout at the Checkout Desk.
- No food or open drink containers are allowed.
- Study rooms are not available to be checked out in between semesters when classes
are not being held.
Wylie Campus Library
- Collin College students with a valid Collin College Student ID who are enrolled during
the current semester may check out study rooms at the Circulation Desk.
- Study rooms check out for two hours with one renewal, subject to availability. Overdue
fees may apply.
- Seventeen study rooms are available for checkout.
- The rooms are available for individuals and groups of up to eight students.
- Some rooms include whiteboards and TVs or displays for connecting a laptop to share
presentations, assignments or group work.
- Whiteboard markers and erasers, HDMI adapters for USB-C, DisplayPort, and Mini DisplayPort
devices, and a stylus are available at the Checkout Desk.
- Do not move furniture in or out of study rooms.
- No food allowed, and drinks must be in closed containers.
- Rooms left unattended for over 15 minutes are forfeited.
- Study rooms are not available to be checked out in between semesters when classes
are not being held.
