DCAP Summer 2026
Dual Credit Advantage Program (DCAP) is a summer tuition waiver program for up to 800 spring 2026 high school graduates who have completed at least nine (9) credit hours of dual credit with Collin College by the end of the Spring 2026 semester.

The DCAP tuition waiver will cover:
- Up to seven (7) credit hours of tuition
- Lab fees for covered courses
- The student activity fee for covered courses
- The student record fee
Students who:
- Are graduating from high school in May/June 2026
- Have or will have earned at least 9 credit hours of dual credit by the end of Spring 2026
- Have an account in good standing
- Complete the DCAP application and register for summer courses by April 22, 2026 at 5 PM
- Are one of the first 800 qualifying students to complete the application
- Waitlist:
- A waitlist application will be available once the original application is closed and until May 1, 2026 for students that are registered for summer, but were not part of the original 800 applicants.
- Please note: if we receive 800 applications before April 22 the application will be closed early and the waitlist will be made available.
DCAP applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis. The first 800 qualifying students will be selected to receive the tuition waiver.
Students that would not be eligible for approval:
- Did not registered for summer 2026 courses by April 22 at 5 p.m.
- Have not or will not meet the nine (9) credit hour requirement by end of Spring 2026
- Are not graduating from high school in May or June 2026
Once the original application is closed, there will be a waitlist application available until May 1st at 5 p.m. Students on the waitlist need to meet these qualifications to be offered a waiver if any are available.
- Are graduating from high school in May/June 2026
- Have or will have earned at least nine (9) credit hours of dual credit by the end of Spring 2026
- Account is in good standing
- Registered for Summer 2026
Our team will review the waitlisted students and send any status updates to their Collin emails.
The P-12 Partnerships Office will provide updates on DCAP applications and waivers via the dualcredit@collin.edu email.
All email communication will be sent the student's Collin email as listed in Workday.
Student Financial Services could begin applying your DCAP tuition waiver to your student financial records in April.
Keep an eye on your Collin College email — a confirmation email from Student Financials will be sent once it’s processed.
Students who receive the tuition waiver can register for more than seven (7) credit hours as long as they are within the maximum course load limits per Collin policy. Visit the Registration page to learn more.
Students who register for more than seven (7) credit hours will be responsible for payment of their remaining balance in accordance with Collin policy. Visit the Student Financial Services page to learn more.
Students can register for any credit course using their DCAP tuition waiver that is available during Summer 2026. Students can take courses in-person or online.
The DCAP tuition waiver does not guarantee a seat in your preferred course, so register early!

The DCAP tuition waiver does not cover the following:
- Tuition charges for any credit hours in excess of seven (7) credit hours
- Course materials, includes Cougar Book Bundle fees
- Special course fees
- Late registration fees
- Continuing education courses (non-credit courses)
Additionally, students will not receive any form of refund for the waiver amount.
DCAP tuition waivers are limited to Summer 2026 only. We are not able to roll the credit onto Fall 2026 balances.
